Letter from then Minister Dear Friends, Last Sunday, our Session Clerk, Douglas McLaren, intimated that the Rev Douglas Nicol would be returning to work on March 1st. At the Kirk Session meeting, a letter from the Presbytery Clerk was read, confirming that announcement. That means that next Sunday, February 28, will be my last Sunday as your Interim Moderator and Locum. However, that Sunday, and the Sunday after should be very special times, because next Sunday will be a Family Service, with the children taking part. And the 7th March will be Communion Sunday. On that day, I have been invited to share with your Minister in celebrating the Sacrament. It will be a great privilege to do that, and to share with the Congregation in welcoming Douglas back into the Parish. So, please spread the word about both these services. It would be so good if as many folk in the Congregation, and beyond, could be encouraged to come to the Church on one or (better still) both of these Sundays. I'll probably get a chance to say a word of appreciation to you all before I leave. But let me say here that you have been a real source of inspiration to me during these past weeks. The more I discover about what you're doing together in the cause of the Gospel leads me to feel that the Spirit really is at work in this place.
