THE LIFE AND FAITH GROUP The Life and Faith Groupmeets this evening in Priesthill Road at the new time of6.30pm to 8.00pm.We are continuing to read together the book “Facing Your Giants” by Max Lucado and to work through a study guide for each chapter. Everyone is most welcome to come along. KIRK SESSION MEETING NEXT SUNDAY Would members of the Kirk Session please note that there will be a brief meeting of the Kirk Session next Sunday following morning worship at Priesthill Road in order to receive the Church Accounts. ADVANCE NOTICE OF A JOINT WORSHIP SERVICE AND THE STATED ANNUAL MEETING On Sunday,28th March, instead of our usual Sunday morning services at Dove Street and Priesthill Road, we will hold a Joint Service at 10.15am and this will take place at Priesthill Road. The Joint Service will then be followed by the Stated Annual Meeting. This follows the pattern we adopted last year for the first time, which was generally viewed as a good way of attracting as many of the congregation as possible to attend the Stated Annual Meeting. STATED ANNUAL MEETING Notice is hereby given that the Stated Annual Meeting of Priesthill and Nitshill Parish Church will take place on Sunday, 28th March at 11.30am at 100 Priesthill Road. A.G.M. OF PRIESTHILL COMMUNITY HALL The Annual General Meeting of the Priesthill Community Hall will be held in the halls at 7.00pm on Monday, 29th March 2010. There are vacancies for committee members to represent the church. If anyone is interested please speak to Douglas MacLaren in the first instance. Interested people would require to attend the AGM with a proposer and seconder. WORLD DAY OF PRAYER Thank you to everyone who supported theWorld Day of Prayer. This worship event was attended by over 40 people and the offering which was received amounted to £115. LAST SUNDAY’S RETIRAL OFFERING As a result of last Sunday’s retiral offering we have raised £148.50 for the Leprosy Mission. Many thanks to everyone who made a contribution. MANY THANKS! Margaret Thomas would like to thank the goodly number of people who supported the annual trip to Eastwood Theatre to see the latest production from the Eros Musical Society, which this year was “Guys and Dolls”. JACOB’S WELL CAFE AND THE 50P SHOP Jacob's Well Cafe and the 50p Shop meets every Wednesday in the Community Hall, 100 Priesthill Road, from 10am till 12noon. Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits are FREE. Baking to enjoy with your tea or coffee is 30p. Homemade soup and a roll is only 70p. We sell clothes, bric a brac, household goods, videos and books. Come along for some bargains, and cheerful chatter with your friends. FOOD FOR THE TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN Now more than ever the Troops are needing our support. The box is waiting for Cereal Bars, Savoury Biscuits, Cup a Soup, Baby Lotion, Baby Wipes, and Magazines. CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS!
